WEBSITE AND BLOG MENUS – TOP OF PAGE 
A while back the Hard Drive on my computer crashed.
I was devastated.
Using the arsenal of tricks that I’ve learned over the years I spent hours trying to revive my old friend.
To no avail.
My Hard Drive was deceased.
D.O.A.
For some unknown reason while having a cup of coffee this morning…
I recalled the entire incident.
Especially what the outcome was for said hard drive.
I would like to share this small tragedy with all of you now.
Everything that was on that hard drive was…
LOST!
All my Personal Photos and all the Photos from my Gigs are…
GONE!
All my Personal Videos and all the Videos from my Gigs are…
GONE!
Not to mention all my current billing and personal information…
GONE!
I lost everything that was on that hard drive…
Did I make a Backup on a Thumb Drive?
NO.
Did I make CD back ups of my Photos and Videos?
NO.
What did I use as a Backup System for this important information?
Nothing!
Just the hard drive that all the original material was stored on…
That was it!
I did have Back Up CD’s of the computer system though.
I made them when I first purchased the computer.
That was real smart of me don’t you think?
Such an intelligent man I was back then.
Too bad you need the hard drive to be working to supply all the information to run the computer.
I couldn’t even open up the CD player to put the CD’s in.
Yeah that was very dependable of me to make Back Up copies.
Not only my…
BAD
…but also my…
STUPIDITY!
So it was off to the local Geek Squad to see what could be done, if anything, to fix the hard drive.
Shouldn’t be a problem…
RIGHT?
Well that will be a…
NO
It seems that my hard drive could not be repaired or…
After explaining to me the inner workings of the Universe…
I finally was given the low-down as to why my hard drive…
“Can’t be replaced”.
And then I was given the final blow.
I was going to have to buy a whole new computer system.
Apparently replacing the old drive with a newer one is impossible.
The software and coding of todays drives would not match up with my older computers coding.
Anything older than two years isn’t worth replacing.
“The newer drives just won’t work with your older system.”
“Your older system?”
I can’t believe that two years is considered to be old and outdated.
Throw It Away!
It’s now more practical and cheaper to just throw the whole computer away and start a fresh.
This was the only option I was given.
So it was off…
To the dump, to the dump, to the dump, dump dump!
I go.
Bringing my poor baby with me to be thrown into the massive wasteland of “Mankinds Trash”.
Something broken on the computer…
Just throw it away!
…buy a new one.
Your lighter is out of fluid…
Just throw it away!
…buy a new one.
Music equipment…
Foot pedals, drum machines, mixing boards…
One component in the unit doesn’t work…
Can’t replace the part…
They don’t make that part anymore…
Just throw it away!
…and buy a new one.
So what is the purpose of this Post?
Why am I writing it and what is the outcome that I’m expecting from it?
Hmm!
Let me see.
Wait a minute…
I’m thinking.
…still thinking…
Apparently my answers are…
I DON’T KNOW WHY!
…and…
NONE!
This Post isn’t going to fix my broken hard drive.
I had to throw it away…
Along with it went the rest of the Computer.
And…
I threw those Back Up CD’s I made of the computer along with it as well.
This Post isn’t going to prevent me from having to spend nearly a thousand dollars for a new one.
I have to spend a little more to get the power I need.
I require a lot from a computer to run all the Software that I use.
My Website and Blog.
Photoshop.
3D Studio.
A lot of Music programs.
And this Post isn’t going to stop the money from being withdrawn from my checking account to pay for it.
This Post isn’t going to stop anyone from throwing away things instead of opting to get them fixed in the future.
Nor will it bring back the millions of items thrown away in the past.
And most importantly…
This Post…
WILL NOT
…bring about World Peace!
So what is it’s real…
Is it to make me feel better about having to trash my entire computer system?
Is it to help me realize that this is the way of the world today?
A world that doesn’t fix anything anymore.
Heck…not only do we not fix things anymore.
We don’t even bother to TRY and fix anything anymore.
Have you tried to find a “Repair” person these days?
Try to find a small engine repair guy to fix a piece of lawn equipment.
Your lawn mower, blower, edger or any other piece of lawn equipment that won’t work.
Can’t be done.
No one wants to do it anymore.
The parts and labor costs aren’t worth it.
Here’s the typical scenario that occurs these days.
“This thing doesn’t work anymore!”
“I tried to get it to work several times.”
“I can’t be bothered wasting any more time trying to fix this thing.”
“I’d like to get someone to fix it for me.”
“The last time I tried doing that it cost me more to get the item fixed.”
“It would have been cheaper for me to buy a new one.”
“Forget that!”
“I’ll just stop at the store on the way home from work tomorrow and”…
“BUY A NEW ONE.”
“And when I get home”…
“I’LL JUST THROW AWAY”
…”the broken one.”
Do we even stop and bother to ask ourselves the most basic questions anymore before throwing everything away?
“Did you make sure there was gas in the tank?”
“Was it plugged in?”
“Have you read the items Owner Manuals Trouble Shooting section?”
“Did you even read the Owners Manual?”
Hey…I’m just asking.
A society that doesn’t hesitate for a moment to throw anything and everything away in a blink of an eye.
Just four months ago the Democrat Party of my Country was trying to pass a Bill that would:
Give a woman the right to Late Term Abortion.
This is after she gives birth to a human child, she…
She the Mother will have the RIGHT to have the baby aborted!
Put to sleep…
FOREVER!
From this…
To this…
FOREVER!
Let me repeat that.
A Mother will have the Right to have her baby murdered after she gives birth to the child.
After carrying the child for nine months then giving it birth.
You would now have the right to say “I don’t want it.” and the Medical Field will put your baby down.
Put back to sleep for eternity after being given the gift of Life.
To experience that first breath of air in your lungs as you cry out to the world…
“I am here!”
Then you are put to death.
Welcome to our new Disposable Society!
It seems that you really can throw away anything you want these days.
Anything and Anybody apparently!
In the end whatever Man makes.
Man throws away.
What else are we going to do with all this stuff we’ve created?
We even want to throw away the Baby’s we create.
What’s a person to do these days?
You can worry yourself sick trying to fix things yourself.
Or you can try to find someone else to fix something for you.
That’ll make you even sicker.
Or your last option…
Don’t quit your day job!
You’re going to need that money you earn to pay for the new item you’re going to…
BUY!
Because you’re going to…
THROW AWAY
…the old one.
Billions of dollars wasted.
You gotta love…
